KMNW specialises in
teaching Israeli forms of self-defence to members of the general public, the
law enforcement community and members of the military services.
Krav Maga is the basic form
of self-defence taught to all students at all levels. For students who have
studied Krav Maga and understand the basic principles and techniques
behind the system we enhance their training to include Kapap. Kapap,
which means face to face combat [Krav Panim El Panim in Hebrew], is the
martial art of the Israeli Special Forces.
Israeli Martial Arts are the most
effective form of self-defence available to members of the general public
and security forces today. Developed for the Israeli Defence Forces, they
has been fully adapted to suit civilian needs and law enforcement
requirements.
A blend of self-defence and
hand-to-hand combat techniques. Innovative, effective and highly practical,
IMA have gained worldwide recognition from combat instructors and experts in
martial arts, acknowledging them as one of the worlds most effective
self-defence systems.
The techniques used in Israeli
Martial Arts are made up of simple and natural movements that are easy to
learn and proven to work in today's street environment. Since their
origination in the 1940's Israeli Martial Arts have been battle tested in
some of the worlds most hostile places. They provide a unique way for anyone
- male or female, young or old - to protect themselves from the dangers of
everyday life.
These
street-oriented self-defence systems have been adopted by hundreds of law
enforcement agencies, military forces and security services across the globe
because of their no-nonsense approach to self-defence. The simplicity of the
systems and the unique teaching techniques used allow practitioners to gain
a good level of proficiency after only a short period of instruction.
KMNW currently teaches IMA in
Central Manchester.

It is our mission
to teach students the defensive techniques and principles of Israeli Martial
Arts. We will teach you how to apply IMA in a variety of situations, in the
dark, in daylight, standing, sitting or lying down.
We will teach you how to defend yourself with a system that works.
